Our client, an Italian pasta manufacturer and distributor is looking for an Inside Sales Associate to join their team.

The Inside Sales Associate plays a crucial role in, but not limited to, overseeing receivables, analyzing promotional and invoice-related activities, and ensuring the timely collection of payments from a specific group of customers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with both customers (as well as vendors and brokers) and internal teams (sales team, logistics team)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing retail and foodservice sales administrative activities
  • Responsible of assisting sales team defining and creating contractual agreements with customers
  • Manage and maintain the accounts receivable portfolio for a designated set of customers.
  • Monitor and track customer payment histories, outstanding invoices, and aging reports.
  • Work closely with sales representatives to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer account information.
  • Review and analyze invoices to identify any discrepancies, discounts, or promotional offers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that all promotional discounts are properly applied and documented.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively contact customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
  • Document all communication and payment agreements accurately.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, payment trends, and collections activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve the efficiency of receivables management.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding billing and payment-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ability to work 3 days in office (in Downtown Manhattan)
  • This is a temporary to permanent opportunity - person is expected to convert to permanent after 6 months. While temporary, the pay will be $26.44/hr and when permanent salary will be $55K
