Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Academic Recruiter to join our team. As an Academic Recruiter, you will play a critical role in sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates for Power Learn Academy. Your efforts will ensure that we attract top talent for our program and help them embark on a life-changing career journey. This role requires a proactive, innovative, and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will also network online and offline with potential candidates, plan, and sponsor career fairs, and promote the Power Learn Academy brand at public events, with a goal of ensuring we attract the best fit candidates for this exclusive program. In addition, you will work with our Power Learn Academy team to innovate best practices for the recruiting and academic plan for the students.

About Power Learn Academy

Power Learn Academy, developed by Dynamic Consultants Group, is an innovative career change and apprenticeship program. We provide transformative knowledge, skills, and apprenticeship experiences through our 12-week bootcamp-style course. Our graduates emerge as Microsoft Certified Functional Consultants, ready to embark on a 2-year apprenticeship with DCG or one of our esteemed partners.

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing and recruiting teams to plan and execute promotional events and develop effective recruiting strategies to identify and attract potential students who are a strong fit for the program.
  • Utilize ethical and effective strategies to source and attract potential candidates.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Power Learn Academy’s programs, policies, values and distinctions.
  • Conduct pre-screening calls and coordinate interviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Interview candidates using various methods (e.g., structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions as appropriate.)
  • Work with Power Learn Leadership to develop and implement a continuous improvement plan for recruiting initiatives, including but not limited to in-person and virtual visits, community events, communication plans, and other initiatives focused on recruiting candidates.
  • Craft and personalize recruiting emails to passive candidates.
  • Respond to prospective candidate inquiries through email, phone, or in-person communications.
  • Participate in conferences and meetups to network with professionals as appropriate for sourcing the best candidates for Power Learn Academy.
  • Network with professionals to build connections that can lead to new placement opportunities for our graduates.
  • Promote Power Learn Academy’s reputation as a premier educational program and be an ambassador for the culture at Power Learn Academy.
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with prospective candidates.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding application materials, admissions decisions, committing to Power Learn Academy and orientation.
  • Communicate financial aid information, deadlines, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate reports related to visits and other recruitment events, inquiry, applicant and enrolled data and communication effort.
  • Stay updated on new technological trends, products and services, and recruiting trends.
  • Function with a high level of autonomy, including setting accountability goals, while keeping appropriate stakeholders informed of progress of goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This role reports to the Lead Recruiter

 

Skills and traits required for success:

  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing, prospecting, and screening candidates, meeting open requisition requirements within the last two years.
  • Strong expertise with office productivity tools (Office 365, Teams, web-based software applications).
  • High level of organization, sales ability, and experience managing multiple open requisitions.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal/presentation skills.
  • Creativity and innovation in approach to recruiting.
  • Comfort with planning, networking, negotiating, and other skills required for successful in-house recruiting.
  • Ability to travel (< 20%) for recruiting events.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule.

 

Experience/Education required: (Minimum)

  • Minimum 2-4 years of outside recruiting experience.
  • Experience working with senior leadership at mid-size to large companies to develop and execute a recruiting strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be open-minded.

 

Experience Preferred:

  • Preferred experience in university or academic program recruiting.
  • Experience in technical recruiting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience using Bullhorn ATS is a plus.
  • Background in social media.
