The University of Oklahoma Academic Resource Coordinator (ARC) position facilitates and directs accommodations for
students aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act and University policies and procedures. The ARC is responsible
for the student accommodation processes in the clinic and didactic environments, including educating students and
campus community members on the registration process, facilitating and evaluating and executing the accommodation
request review process, communicating approved accommodations to students and respective faculty and programmatic
administration, and coordinating critical accommodation resources such as proctoring and testing sessions for registered
students.
The ARC will host group coaching sessions and provide on-to-one meetings to address access issues, concerns, and
opportunities for connection. Additionally, the position will assist students as they navigate accommodations needing
additional support services. In support of an inclusive campus culture, the ARC will participate in recruitment events and
onboarding activities to assist students as they successfully matriculate to campus, including into campus housing. This
position will collaborate with the Accessibility & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) team on the OU Norman campus and
with the ARC on the OU Tulsa campus to provide consistency in accommodations and process where appropriate.

Duties:

Responsible for the complete student intake process for reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans
with Disabilities Act and University of Oklahoma policies and procedures.
Facilitates the entire registration process, making autonomous decisions while interpreting medical diagnoses and
applying policy.
Evaluates and reviews students' requests for accommodations, ensuring timely, confidential communications including
tracking of all information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Coordinates communication responses to internal and external partners regarding the accommodation registration
process.
Assesses and compiles relevant data for monthly reporting to University leadership on utilization, timelines of services,
and overall student and faculty satisfaction.
Coordinates the proctoring schedules, including spaces, for registered students with faculty, program/college teams, and
associated offices.
Enhances the University of Oklahoma student community by ensuring a culture of inclusion and acceptance.
Participates in department outreach and engagement within prospective student engagement and onboarding services.
Develops working relationships with administration and academic program contacts.
Educates the campus community members on accommodation processes and best practices and assesses feedback for
student-centered experiences and satisfaction.
Works with student deans and college liaisons to ensure faculty have input into the overall accommodations process.
Supports a culture of care in supporting students' academic journeys and graduation timelines.
Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and adaptive learning skills. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field, AND:

24 months of program development experience.

Skills:

Effective oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. Strong process improvement and assessment skills. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative and respectful manner. Ability to multi-task and deal with complexity frequently. Ability to complete projects on time. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use Microsoft Windows and Mac, including Maxient, Word and Outlook. Experience in engagement with faculty and/or advocacy-based organizations that serve communities with disabilities or
an associated field.

Working Conditions:
