Role Summary/Purpose


The Customer Service Representative will be a critical member of the sales team, having direct and immediate effects on financial performance, growth & customer loyalty. In this role, the individual will make decisions and drive actions to resolve issues preventing on time completion of quotes and orders under their care.


Essential Responsibilities


• Work together with and provide support for regional sales managers and sales representatives.

• Review customer orders, validate, and submit for processing.

• Respond and manage price and lead time quotes. Follow up on quotes and track wins/loses.

• Act as internal point of contact for customers building outstanding relationships.

• Assist with daily logistics – incoming and outgoing.

• Coordinate resolution of issues, account receivables, and disputes to the customers satisfaction.

• Work with Production and Engineering with entering any necessary work orders for the shop as needed.

• Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches including contract pricing.

• Create and deliver submittal packages and municipal bids to sales representatives and customers.

• Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales.

• Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.

• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.

• Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in CRM database.

• Process RMA’s and coordinate replacement product production if needed.

• Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.

• Attend periodic sales training where applicable.

• Ensure smooth running of the sales process.

• Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred / or 2-4 years of inside or outside sales experience

• Microsoft Office experience required (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)

• Knowledge of Quote & Order Management processes

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to multitask

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
