Business Development Manager, Central Midwest

Remote - Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri (Local to major airport preferred)

Title: Business Development Manager

Primary Purpose:

Independently provide key support in developing and implementing the Acrow strategic and tactical business plans through open competition and sole source contracts resulting in the generation of new business and new customers for Acrow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to establish strategic business development goals tied to meeting corporate objectives and increasing market share and profitability worldwide.
  • Identify high potential markets and roadblocks and drive new business from conception through closure
  • Research, locate, define, and develop target key business prospects.
  • Create and manage professional quotations in accordance with inquiries from potential export customers.
  • Partner with onsite technical services and Engineering to manage projects
  • Design a competitive strategy including product offering, pricing, and terms and conditions.
  • Organize and coordinate Acrow’s sales efforts at industry trade conferences.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic partners and clients, respond to inquiries and resolve outstanding items
  • Present sales and market activity reports to executive management.
  • Review and develop forecasts to determine the assigned area’s progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Partner with customers to provide feedback to development teams for new products.
  • Understand and adhere to all Acrow’s policies and applicable laws
  • Travel to other Acrow Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven sales experience
  • Knowledge of bridging products
  • Ability to independently identify, validate and qualify business opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of organizing customer project tracking
  • Personable, strong work ethic and ability to adapt to quickly with a changing business environment and a sense of urgency
  • Sound decision making skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in a CRM, Microsoft Word and Excel and have an ability to navigate software

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field and 8 to 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
