Position Description:

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing inside-sales and after-sales support. The primary function of Customer Service is supporting our dealer base through strong communication and attention to detail. Duties include a high volume of phone calls, order entry/maintenance, coordination of freight truck shipments, and various follow-through activities to support multiple businesses under the XS Scuba umbrella.

This job is an office-environment position located in Santa Ana, CA. This is a full-time, 40-hour workweek position M-F with benefits available after a 90-day probationary period.

Primary responsibilities:

· Provide a high level of customer support by ensuring customers’ requests are understood and addressed quickly

· Performs upselling and cross selling to dealers which includes but is not limited to new products, replacements for discontinued or unavailable items, special promotions or closeout offers and replacements for returned items.

· Manage a high volume of incoming calls and e-mails to ensure timely processing of sales orders and return requests

  • Utilize freight shopping software to determine the best means to ship orders; Schedule freight and route shipments
  • Able to balance and shift priorities between customer emails, phone calls and other inquiries.
  • Provide customers with accurate pricing and availability of products.
  • Follow up on customer orders and provide expected delivery date.
  • Check inventory control.
  • Expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments by working with production, sales, warehouse and other departments.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including filing and record retention.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to effectively prioritize, multi task and work well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in order processing and customer service a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Sage 50 or other ERP systems
  • High school or equivalent
  • Scuba certification a plus
