Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze HR payroll/processing, coding/process timeliness and accuracy, and/or other issues related to processing actions while working with other HR Specialists, as well as external division administrative officers, managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Perform reviews and quality control of new hire personnel actions processing.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend to appropriate HR Specialist(s) human resources interventions to resolve complex interrelated human resources problems and issues.
  • Provides advice on employee claims involving pay and leave entitlements.
  • Create position numbers and job codes, process personnel and payroll actions, including all coding and processing to onboard a new employee, pay incentives, special pays, benefits, awards and effectively resolve and correct processing errors.
  • Perform detailed research and review of historical appointment and resignation actions, accurately updating intervening actions and producing 002 corrections as needed.
  • Perform over- or under-payment calculations and coordinate with the program area to communicate with individual employees.
  • Work with SF75 and TSP-19 information for departing & incoming employees.


Requirements:

  • 10 years of Federal HR experience.
  • Skill in coding and processing a range of actions, including those that have unusual conditions or issues requiring deviation from standard procedures to complete the action.
  • Knowledge and skills working with complex automated personnel operating systems which include payroll and personnel actions processing and retroactive corrections.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide guidance, consultation, and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees on all aspects of human resources management processing and payroll issues.
