Job Posing: B2B Outside Sales Rep – Factory Automation Equipment & Components

Salary Range: 80k-85k salary with profit sharing

Location: Must live in the Nashville Metropolitan Area

Position Overview: Seeking a dynamic self-starter and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory automation equipment and components, with a proven track record of driving sales and building lasting client relationships. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and representing our brand in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in Nashville, TN and travel to visit customer locations in Mid/West TN, MS and AL with some overnights required. Develop and implement strategies to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our factory automation equipment and components with a clear understanding of Key Accounts GSE (General Spec for Equipment) Effectively communicate product benefits and solutions to meet client needs.
  • Sales Presentations: Serve as project manager on simple to complex projects, selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, amendments and changing orders. Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations. Tailor solutions to address specific client requirements and pain points.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing. Negotiate terms and pricing to secure contracts and achieve sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Utilize this information to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using Sales Force. Provide regular updates and reports to branch manager and sales staff.

· Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance Departments at Key Group accounts to promote our product line and assist with customer applications including price quotes / delivery, detailed technical product info, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in outside B to B sales, with a focus on factory automation equipment and components. 5 years of knowledge and experience with factory automation equipment component strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, time management, teamwork, presentation and computer skills.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work with all departments to achieve personal and company goals. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently and some overnight travel required.

Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, pass drug screen, background and MVR checks.
