Position Overview:

The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive HSE programs, policies, and initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and promote a proactive HSE culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Foster open communication about HSE. Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives and ensure that concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Lead by example to instill HSE principles.
  • Develop and implement strategic HSE plans and programs in alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment and mitigation of HSE risks across all operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  • Manage compliance with various client required systems such as ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, Vero and Highwire.
  • Develop and maintain HSE management systems and reporting tools to track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and reviews to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, clients and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Monitor industry trends, advancements and regulatory changes to keep the company at the forefront of HSE practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within an industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and best practices, including OSHA, MSHA, FMCSA, PHMSA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Experience in the following areas required; tank cleaning, chemical cleaning, tank repair, hydroblasting, vacuum trucks
