Kelly Services is currently partnering with a premier manufacturer seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team in the south Pittsburgh office. This is an in-office position in a casual dress environment located on Pittsburgh's South Side that offers an opportunity to work with a growing team. 

 

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (South Side)

Salary: $24-30 per hour (based on experience)

Work Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible after training between the hours on 6:30-9 start time - 40 hour work week)

Duration: Contract, potentially contract to hire

Hybrid schedule available?: Yes, after at least one month of training

  • Opportunity for contract to hire based on performance

  • Flexible start time and hybrid work schedule offered after initial training period

Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter invoices into the accounting system across two companies (QuickBooks and Nav experience preferred but not necessary)

  • Handle an invoice volume of about 250 weekly 

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare checks for check runs and set up ACH/EFT payments

  • Monitor AP inbox for electronic and hard copy invoices

  • Collaborate with the team in office and in other locations as needed 

  • Assist with other accounting duties as needed

Requirements:

  • 3+ years previous experience in full-cycle accounts payable 

  • 3 way-matching proficiency

  • Experience with check runs

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Excel (basic functions such as average, sum, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
