The SWC is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Paris, Jerusalem and Buenos Aires. The Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles, founded in 1993, is the educational arm of the SWC. Moriah Films is the Center’s two-time Academy Award®-winning film division and the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is scheduled to open in 2025.  

  

About the role:     

The Museum of Tolerance is seeking an experienced logistics coordinator who can collaborate with Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Mobile Museum of Tolerance (MMOT), the MMOT’s bus operator, and schools, libraries, and other locations the MMOT is set to visit to ensure smooth operations of the bus.

You are passionate about human rights injustices, combatting hate, community and educational engagement, diversity, inclusion, and Holocaust education. You are a self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented individual with excellent verbal and organizational skills and have a sincere commitment to the mission, goals, and ideals of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and non-profit work.  

  

This position will report to the Program Manager, Mobile Museum of Tolerance NY and is based in Manhattan.   

 

Responsibilities  

  • Coordinate daily operations of the MMOT and field education.  
  • Coordinate schedule of the MMOT in conjunction with the NY Field Education Staff. 
  • Communicate with schools and other organizations regarding booking, scheduling, parking location, and confirmation in advance of the arrival of the field educators and MMOT, sending post visit thank you emails and surveys.  
  • Keep and update all required shared documents.   
  • Contribute to Field Education’s social media feeds.  
  • Send post Field Education visit thank you emails and surveys.  

  

Experience and Skills:  

  • Reside in New York City or surrounding communities.  
  • 3-5 years’ experience in logistics coordination.  
  • Deep understanding of computers, websites, and social media. Ability to learn project management software rapidly and generate reports. 
  • Timely problem-solving skills to tackle emergencies, unintended delays, and/or changes in the schedule.   
  • Passion for fighting against anti-Semitism, racism, and for promoting human rights and dignity.   
  • Personality profile to fit into a safe, inclusive, open and collaborative culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will get your hands into the details.
