Job Description:

Snelling has an immediate opening for an Accounting/Payroll Assistant in Louisville, KY. This position will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining various financial tasks, including processing payroll for technicians, calculating commissions, reviewing invoices, handling accounts payable, and overseeing collections. You will also be responsible for generating key performance indicator (KPI) reports for the department and assisting technicians, managers, and customers by addressing inquiries and providing accurate information.

  • Process weekly payroll for field employees across multiple departments, ensuring accuracy for different pay structures.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly payroll reports for employees and their respective managers.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to resolve any issues
  • Examine invoices and payment receipts for correctness and ensure they are posted daily.
  • Address payroll-related questions from field employees promptly and communicate any resolutions effectively.
  • Conduct daily reviews of outstanding accounts receivable and manage collections, providing weekly updates on unresolved issues.
  • Handle customer credits and refunds and respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Assist in the preparation of various internal reports on a weekly basis and handle ad-hoc reporting tasks as needed.
  • Provide coverage for the receptionist desk during lunches and vacations as required.

Accounting/Payroll Assistant Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • 2+ years’ experience processing payroll and collections
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
