Do you provide extraordinary customer service related to banking accounts and accounts payable and receivable? Are you conscientious and detail oriented? Would you enjoy being part of a nonprofit organization dedicated to girls and young women? If yes, the Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachians is looking for you for our part-time Troop Banking Specialist position based at our leadership center in Knoxville, TN. The position is for approximately 24 hours a week.

Under guidance of the Chief Financial Officer, the Troop Banking Specialist provides high-level customer assistance to troops and service units with their banking needs. Prepares and maintains needed financial documentation on troop banking. Assists with investigations, collections, and documentation of troop banking concerns. Facilitates problem solving with troop payments for product sales and assists with other banking-related questions. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field plus at least one year of experience in accounts payable and general ledger and/or related experience in banking. (Significant related experience may substitute for degree.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including creation of spreadsheets and use of formulas.
  • Successful credit check.
  • Experience with Salesforce, bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable a plus.
  • Maintenance of organizational membership throughout employment.
