The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring the timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is crucial in optimizing cash flow and maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
Prepare and send invoices, statements, and payment reminders to customers.
Record and reconcile daily receipts, including credit card payments, checks, and bank transfers.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment records.
Communicate with customers regarding payment status, account balances, and billing issues.
Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and disputes.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports related to accounts receivable.
Review and update the accounts receivable aging report regularly.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar finance role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
