We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Specialty Lending Group at FirstBank. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with multiple areas of the bank to identify and mitigate regulatory compliance risk.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the business unit to enhance regulatory compliance within all processes, procedures, and practices.
- Collaborate with the 1st LOD Compliance Manager on findings and recommended remediation.
- Work with Corporate Compliance and SLG leaders on remediation and risk mitigation efforts.
- Identify opportunities to create and enhance compliant operational efficiencies.
- Advocate for the business's needs while balancing the requirements of complex laws and regulations.
- Provide input on emerging risks, control effectiveness, compliance risk exposure, and mitigation efforts.
- Contribute to the development of the 1st LOD Compliance Testing Calendar.
- Establish reporting and tracking for emerging risks, control effectiveness, compliance risk exposure, and mitigation efforts.
- 7+ years of banking regulatory compliance experience, with a focus on manufactured housing a plus.
- Experience coaching and mentoring peers.
- CRCM or similar certification, or additional years of compliance experience, required.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations, particularly consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Reg. Z, Reg. X, ECOA, HMDA, and UDAAP.
