Construction Project Manager - Construction GC - Base Salary to 125k/year - Washington, DC

  • Our client is a commercial GC that specializes in construction of government buildings in Metro Washington DC.  They are looking at starting a long term project at the beginning of October.  They need to bring on multiple Construction Project Managers ranging from Senior to Junior.
  • In this role, the Construction Project Manager will be coordinating with internal teams, stakeholders, and owners to drive projects through to completion. This will involve working closely with the Estimating and Operations teams.  The ideal candidate for this role must have a PMP certification and commercial project management experience, as well as strong communication, computer, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze blueprints, specs, contracts, and other documentation
  • Collaborate with Estimating team in bidding process
  • Develop scopes of work for various disciplines
  • Work with project team to obtain permits
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects
  • Manage evaluation of costs and impact of revisions, change orders, etc.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and site personnel
  • Coordinate closely with client as well as internal teams through all stages of assigned projects

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in commercial construction
  • Project Management experience
  • GC experience preferred
  • Computer-savvy, proficiency with Excel required, proficiency with Project Management software preferred
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret plans and specifications relative to the scope of work and schedule
  • Must have experience with architectural and structural drawings

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k – 125k/year range
  • Position will b a 5 year long term contract
  • PTO
  • Working on site in Downtown Washington DC
  • Monday-Friday First Shift Schedule
