About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Program Supervisor to develop, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of our educational programs and initiatives. The Program Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of educators, developing program content, and collaborating with community partners to enhance the museum's reach and impact. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Executive Director.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement, and evaluate all educational programs, workshops, and events for various audiences including schools, families, and adults

- Develop engaging and meaningful content for programs that align with the museum's mission and vision

- Supervise and mentor a team of educators, interns, and volunteers

- Collaborate with community organizations to develop and implement off-site outreach programs

- Cultivate community partnerships to expand the museum's educational offerings and reach

- Prepare and manage the department budget, including grant writing and reporting

- Collect, analyze, and report on data related to program attendance, community impact, and effectiveness

- Conduct ongoing research to stay current on trends and best practices in art education

- Coordinate with the marketing department to promote programs and events through various channels

- Oversee the development and maintenance of program resources and materials

- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures during programs and events

- Act as a liaison between the museum and schools, universities, and other community organizations

- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, art education, museum studies, or related field

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program development and management, preferably in a museum or cultural institution setting

- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and engage with diverse audiences

- Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for art education and community outreach

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with database management

- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting processes

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when events and programs are scheduled

- Must pass a background check

Salary: $28,000 to $42,000 yearly
