Role Summary:

As the Program Leader, Residential, you will report directly to the Program Manager and will be tasked with overseeing the physical, emotional, and therapeutic needs of children within the Residential Program. Your leadership will be vital in managing the daily operations of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold standards to maintain a therapeutic, child-focused environment
  • Oversee children's treatment plans as directed and accurately document services rendered
  • Ensure the safety and upkeep of facilities and vehicles
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of Direct Support Professionals
  • Review staffing assignments and pertinent documentation on a daily basis
  • Engage in program activities and housekeeping responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
  • Plan and execute daily activities for clients
  • Administer medication and supervise its distribution
  • Manage transportation and other program-related needs
  • Conduct post-crisis response actions as necessary
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationships:

In your capacity as Program Leader, you will report to the Program Manager and collaborate closely with the Residential Treatment Team.

Essential Functions:

Position Specifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma/GED; Associate's degree preferred
  • Certification in medication administration required
  • Valid New York State driver's license and van certification
  • Experience working with children in crisis situations
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks
