GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager.  He/she is responsible for all plant maintenance operations including machine, tool & die, and building & grounds maintenance and repair. Enforce all safety and company polices. Ensure all quality and training requirements are met. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a high school diploma
  • At least 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Punch & die, press machinery, electrical & hydraulic experience required.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized team player with effective communication skills.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement proactive / preventive maintenance programs for all critical tooling and equipment.
  • Work with operations to plan and schedule downtime to mitigate any disruption to production operations for maintenance activities.
  • Review, recommend and implement safety enhancements to equipment and tooling.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives including tooling, equipment, and other process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality.
  • Work with operations to develop/enhance tooling, production aids, or other process improvements.
  • Maintain systems for monitoring and tracking service requests and preventive maintenance work performed.
  • Solicit bids for outside contract work and schedules and supervises outside contractors.
  • Establish, promote and maintain high standards of behavior in line with company goals and objectives.
