The Industrial Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in the scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive upkeep and repair of diverse beverage manufacturing and packaging machinery. This position demands a robust foundation in mechanical skills, encompassing hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, conveyor mechanisms, and PLC operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently execute preventive and proactive maintenance according to the established schedule to avert equipment failures.
- Employ root-cause analysis techniques to probe into breakdowns and production halts while working in tandem with other departments.
- Act as the primary responder when production lines cease operation, ensuring that the necessary mechanical support is promptly available to resolve issues using both electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Prioritize tasks to guarantee timely maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and utility systems, thereby minimizing manufacturing downtime. Complete all requisite documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Maintain or restore the operational condition of industrial production or processing machinery, including conducting inspections, assembly, disassembly, and necessary replacements.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of machinery or equipment to identify malfunctions, utilizing voltmeters or other diagnostic tools.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to confirm the effectiveness of repairs.
- Analyze test outcomes, machine error notifications, or information gathered from operators to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Inspect operational machines and equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety performance standards.
- Support the facility's food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance and achieve desired outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
This position is a direct-hire opportunity with a reputable manufacturer located in the Dallas and Fort Worth area.
