Job Description

Pro-Tech Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves the upkeep and repair of all manufacturing and facility machinery, as well as the installation of new systems and execution of preventive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in industrial maintenance, including expertise in metalworking (such as pipe fitting, welding, and brazing), carpentry, precision alignment, power transmission, and electrical systems. Proficiency in interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics, along with pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety regulations and foster a secure working environment. Operate various machines and power tools safely, including metal lathes, milling machines, pneumatic hammers, drills, grinders, and welding equipment.
  • Conduct adjustments and repairs on equipment to ensure the production of quality products. Respond promptly to equipment failures while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Identify potential issues and communicate with supervisors to address any deficiencies. Perform mechanical repairs, installations, maintenance, carpentry, and pipefitting tasks. Execute basic to intermediate electrical repairs and maintenance on systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC. Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills using mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Implement precision maintenance techniques, including shaft and roll alignment.
  • Diagnose existing or potential issues, perform necessary repairs, and conduct test runs on new or repaired machinery.
  • Lubricate and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment. Execute welding and soldering on various materials.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Technical college education is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field is necessary, with continuous operation experience being advantageous.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports, and other documents.

Effective communication skills to present information to colleagues and management.

Proficient in utilizing computer-based systems for work orders and shift reports.

Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand for extended periods, bend, squat, reach, and turn to perform job duties.

Willingness to work mandatory overtime and weekends is essential.
