Warrior Services Company LLC in Palm Springs, FL is seeking candidates for a VA Coordinator.  The coordinator will be responsible for developing and enhancing services and resources for Veterans, service members, their dependents, and survivors.  

The VA Coordinator will serve as a resource and counsel to assist the employees and applicants on a variety of veteran/military issues, including but not limited to: Military Skills translation, military cultural competence, veteran transition issues, Guard and Reserve Friendly HR policies, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), employment related policies and procedures, career counseling, job postings, and veteran talent attraction strategies.   The incumbent will build relationships with military and veteran organizations.  

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 1-3 years of work experience with the development and enhancement of services and resources for Veterans

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with office staff, and the public
  • Ability to coordinate with a wide range of Veteran and military service organizations, veteran support organizations, and state and local veteran agencies and groups
  • Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to advocate for Veteran needs
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a member of a team and to work effectively with other community organizations
  • Knowledge of Veteran transition services, Veteran Service Organizations, and federal and state Veteran programs and benefits is strongly preferred
  • Develops and maintains new veteran/military organization account relationships and markets.
  • Targets and creates new strategies for increasing business from veteran/ military organizations in highly competitive markets
  • Represents Warrior Services Company facility programs at professional functions and communicates mission in all outreach interactions. Acts as a liaison between the facilities, referral sources, and the public to further the goals and positive, professional image of the facilities
  • Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, and professional and community involvement for the betterment of this position
  • Attends scheduled department meetings to provide timely reports on month-end reviews, client serving schedules, customer sales forms, and other reporting requirements
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally
  • Mental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice

 

Schedule:

  • M-F 8a to 4:30p

 

Pay:

  • $18 to $22 per hour
