Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive podiatric services across various settings, including outpatient, urgent care, inpatient, and telehealth.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage podiatric medical and surgical disorders.
  • Conduct podiatric procedures in both operating room and office environments.
  • Engage in clinical review, triage, and management of podiatric consultations.
  • Participate actively in the education and training of residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records.
  • Contribute to committees and participate in peer review processes as assigned.
Clinical Duties:

Perform biomedical evaluations of the lower extremities to assist in managing various pathologies, including:

  • Neuropathic or vascular ulcerations.
  • Osteoarthritis of the bunion joint.
  • Utilization of devices to alleviate weight-bearing on painful or ulcerated areas.
  • Identification and treatment of static foot problems, such as heel pain and flatfoot deformity.
  • Local care for corns, calluses, and pedal ulcerations.
  • Management of painful or infected nails, particularly in patients at risk for systemic infections.
Work Schedule:

This position offers various work schedules, which may include rotating call coverage, weekends, and holidays. The specific schedule will be determined by the supervisor based on organizational needs.

Requirements:

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess a degree in podiatric medicine from an accredited institution. Completion of an approved residency training program is required, along with a full and unrestricted license to practice podiatry.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Selected candidates will undergo a background investigation and may be required to complete a probationary period.

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates visual acuity, manual dexterity, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, and patient handling.

Participation in health programs, including vaccinations, is required for all healthcare personnel.
