Basic Qualifications:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point Programs.

Education/Training/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related degree. Certification in Human Resources preferred.

Skill(s):

· General knowledge of human resources functions.

· Knowledge of personnel issues, current trends, employment laws and state and federal regulations.

· Knowledge of standardized employee record keeping practices.

· Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.

· Knowledge of computer systems and experience working with HR software.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and management.

· Ability to communicate and present information effectively.

· Ability to read and interpret office procedures and policies.

· Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Experience: Minimum of two years of Human Resource Management.

Medical Clearance:

· Work Environment: Employee must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an Adult Day Health Center and primary care clinic environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures.

· Physical Requirements - Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics with reasonable accommodation if needed.

· Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to communicate by way of the telephone with participants, customers, vendors and staff.

· Pressure Factor - Requires working under stressful conditions. Working conditions may be noisy and crowded and fluctuating indoor temperatures. Moderate pressure to meet scheduled deadlines. Potential for exposure to verbal aggression by client, vendors, and staff.

o Environmental Conditions - May be exposed to a risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids, communicable diseases and any other conditions common in a healthcare environment. Subject to unpleasant odors.

General Responsibilities:

  • · Oversee the recruitment and termination of employees of the PACE program.
  • · Ensures compliance with all current regulations, laws, policies and procedures.
  • · Oversees recruitment efforts; including placing ads on various platforms, attending outside functions for recruitment.
  • · Acts as an internal consultant to supervisors and managers regarding the recruitment and employee retention issues.
  • · Reviews and forwards appropriate employment applications/resumes to hiring managers, with follow up on scheduling interviews.
  • · Oversees the performance appraisal system.
  • · Monitors job descriptions for all for the PACE positions.
  • · Conducts new hire orientation including completion of required paperwork and review of employee manual policies and procedures.
  • · Conducts weekly follow ups with newly hired staff (for three months after hire) to ensure attendance to orientation trainings, received equipment, etc.
  • · Responds to general requests/inquiries by employees regarding personnel policies, procedures, compensation, and benefits.
  • · Follows all PACE organization Policies and Procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • · Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about employees, participants, clients and/or families.
  • · Maintains safe working environment. Follows all PACE organization Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • · Participates in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.
  • · Performs other duties as required or requested.
