Position Overview:

This role demands a dynamic leader with substantial experience in operational management, talent cultivation, and member services within the financial services sector.

Compensation Structure:

Minimum: $217,000

Maximum: $310,000

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $232,500 - $248,000 based on their expertise.

This position supports a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Direct and manage the daily operations of the credit union, focusing on Human Resources, Internal Communications, and Training and Development. Ensure operational effectiveness, adherence to regulations, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Human Resources Leadership: Spearhead the Human Resources function, encompassing talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, and organizational development. Promote a positive workplace culture that attracts, retains, and nurtures top talent. Establish and implement HR initiatives that effectively communicate and support the organization’s mission and strategic vision. Collaborate with the executive management team to devise a robust succession management plan that aligns with the company’s strategy and objectives. Develop comprehensive strategic recruitment and retention plans to fulfill the human capital needs of strategic goals. Formulate and execute competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits strategies.

Training and Development: Design and implement extensive training and development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career advancement. Ensure that training initiatives are in sync with the credit union’s strategic objectives and operational requirements. Transform talent management into a vehicle for business transformation to advance strategy, cultivate agile leaders, and unify culture.

Strategic Direction: Partner with the executive leadership team to formulate and execute long-term strategies that drive the growth and profitability of the credit union. Align operational initiatives, HR strategies, and training programs with the strategic goals of Harborstone.

Organizational Culture: Develop and assess a mindful and continuously evolving culture that embraces change and drives high performance. Cultivate a compelling employer brand, both internally and externally, in alignment with Harborstone’s mission and values. Ensure all organizational aspects are aligned with Harborstone’s mission.

Qualifications:

A minimum of ten years of progressive management experience demonstrating strong leadership development, coaching, analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with at least five years in a progressive HR role. Proven expertise in strategic visioning, planning, and executing initiatives. Demonstrated decision-making capabilities within the scope of the role. A Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communication, Business, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Senior Professional Human Resources Certification (SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
