Position Summary:

To provide efficient administrative support to the Quality Department. This may include tasks, such as reviewing and scanning documents, reconciliation of inventory and/or documents, filing, archiving and retrieval of SOP, COA’s. Ensure all administration databases and tracking tools are up to date and correct.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Use systematic repeatable process to minimize errors, requiring a strong attention to detail.
  • Monitor lab supplies and inform Quality Process Specialist when inventory is low. Keep simple lab equipment in working conditions, which may require changing of blades on various lab cutters.
  • Will use calibrated weights to ensure scales are reading true on a monthly basis.
  • Weekly audits of production lines to ensure correct specs, labels, measurements and supplies are being used. This data will be shared with Supervisors/Managers and break room monitor to inform the production team.
  • Day to day troubleshooting-examples are testing products, inventory review, label issues, spec information etc.
  • Testing of Polymer using melter and determining Melt Flow # Reader. Documenting MFR results in Excel spreadsheet to share with purchasing team.
  • Testing of scrap using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
  • Working on updating product labels and product/supplier specs.
  • Work with R&D team on requests.
  • Testing of product produced and communicate results with necessary team members.
  • Any projects assigned by Quality Process Specialist, Manager or Quality Director.
  • Assist with quality testing in the plant when needed.
  • Computer programs that will be taught on the job include: Label Matrix, NetSuite, Instron, and Bluehill.

  • Computer skills include Excel, Word, PDF’s, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn reporting within the FyterTech systems.
  • Sets a positive example, exhibiting a can-do attitude and reliable team player.
  • Actively support company initiatives through words and actions.
  • From time to time, may be required to stay beyond their shift (with very little notice) to resolve process issues, or participate in team problem-solving.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to multi-task and interact with internal and external customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs., physical ability including climbing, bending and repetitive motions.
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills. You have the ability to set and adjust priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimum direct supervision while effectively handling several projects at one time.
