Position Title: Program Supervisor 
Supervised By: Director and/or Associate Director 

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director and Associate Director, the Program Supervisor will
manage the operation of the program and staff to ensure that all necessary and required tasks
are completed for the delivery of individual's programs, services, and supervision.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of one years’ experience working with individuals with 
developmental disabilities, and supervisor experience. 

OR

A combination of experience and/or education equivalent to four years of experience in 
coordinating and providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, and supervisor 
experience.

AND

Must demonstrate competence in the areas of program development, administration, 
supervision, and leadership. Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and vehicle 
in good working order. Must pass a LiveScan DOJ and FBI background clearance.

Function and Responsibilities:

• Assists in ensuring compliance with all governmental and non-governmental regulations
and standards.
• Provides coverage support for Director Support Professionals and other supervisors
when needed and available. Coverage is expected during a supervisor's regular 
schedule. 
• Provides staff with direct supervision, training, and scheduled performance reviews.
• Ensures that all necessary reports and documentation are submitted accurately
and within designated time frames. (Basecamp documentation, monthly reports,
participant hours, other documentation as required of the Direct Support Professional)
• Attends all meetings as required.
• Supports Director Support Professionals in maintaining participant schedules.
• Creates and maintains Direct Support Professional schedules, requests for time off, etc.
Verifies accuracy of Director Support Professional timesheets.
• Responsible for the creation, oversight, and implementation of Individual Support Plans,
including task analysis, step plans, semi-annual and annual reviews, and scheduling
Support Team Meetings.
• Provides or arranges for required monthly training to staff, with support from the 
Directors. Obtains and utilizes the services of vocational consultants to increase skills in 
targeted vocational areas and develops appropriate training plans.
• Assists the Directors in networking and expanding Community Resources.
• Has and continues to gain knowledge on various generic community resources available
to participants.
• Attends training/workshops to advance professional development.
• Assists the Directors to ensure that all staff positions are adequately filled, 
including staffing, interviewing, hiring and firing.
• Complete random site drop-ins to ensure Direct Support Professional adherence to
Breaking Barriers’ policies and procedures with each site/participant being seen
monthly.
• Perform other duties as required defined as minor or incidental tasks related to the 
position being described to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our 
organization's values.
