Executive Director

Catholic Charities Housing Office

Imagine working in a place where you have the ability to partner with a diverse network of Community Partners to spearhead programs to prevent homelessness by enhancing the availability of secure, affordable housing options. As the Executive Director (ED) of the Catholic Charities Housing Office, you will secure funding to support the housing needs of individuals, families, and communities affected by poverty to foster long-term housing and economic stability. We prioritize investments in affordable housing and community resources to promote vibrant, inclusive neighborhoods. Additionally, we advocate alongside our community for policies and investments that broaden housing and economic opportunities, ultimately striving to eliminate poverty.

As the foundation supporting the current and lasting success of the Catholic Charities Housing Office, the Executive Director (ED) leads and manages agency operations, finances, programs, staff, and volunteers. The ED will drive strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder relationships to achieve the mission and goals of the local agency and contribute to the overall mission and success of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.

  • The ED will be an influential leader, coach, and competent business manager.
  • The ED will be mission-focused and have the ability to articulate the mission of Catholic Charities establishing clear, achievable milestones and a framework to achieve agency goals.
  • As the face of the Agency, the ED will be an outstanding communicator who effectively speaks on behalf of the agency investing in the future by building relationships in the community and overseeing fundraising events.
  • The ED will establish and actively engage with the Housing Committee of the Board of Trustees in order to effectively carry out the mission of the Agency and ensure continued success.
  • Through strong leadership, the ED will lead by example, and through continuous performance feedback, create a healthy culture that allows the agency to recruit and retain top talent.

Catholic Charities will offer a competitive salary based on experience.

Executive Director Minimum Salary: $75,000

Executive Director Maximum Salary: $90,000


Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in non-profit leadership, Housing experience preferred.
  • Skilled in identifying and pursuing potential grant opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and maintaining strong relationships with funding sources.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
