About the Role

Broadview FCU is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Learning and Development to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with our corporate goals and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Learning Strategy: Set the vision and strategy for the overall corporate learning strategy, aligning to corporate goals and vision.
  • Lead the Talent Development Team: Lead the Talent Development team in all aspects of corporate training and development, including new hire training, culture training, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), professional skills, operational skills, sales/advocacy skills, leadership development, and third-party training engagement.
  • Build Relationships and Deliver Results: Position team, through ongoing coaching and development, as trusted thought partners who proactively build relationships in order to be proactive and deliver results.
  • Engage with Senior Leadership: Engage with Senior Leadership, management, and staff across the organization to create and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
  • Integrate DEIB Strategies: Integrate DEIB strategies throughout the various talent, learning and development initiatives.
  • Seek Innovation and Technology: Seek innovation with regard to program enhancement, new program development and the use of technology to enhance the efficiency of training delivery.
  • Measure and Evaluate Training Impact: Leverage workforce analytics to identify talent development strategies and measure their impact on business performance.
  • Develop Consistent Metrics and Reporting: Develop consistent metrics and reporting to evaluate training impact and assess trends and progress against targeted objectives.
  • Collaborate with Leaders: Collaborate with leaders to develop career paths unique to business units.
  • Partner with Employee Experience Team: Partner with Employee Experience team members to understand the results of employee engagement and pulse surveys to create and execute action plans focused on enhancing employee engagement.
  • Represent the Credit Union: Represent credit union at local and national Talent Development events and seek opportunities to be visible throughout the organization and to understand business functions.
  • Champion the Organizational Culture: Champion and instill the organizational service-oriented, people-centric culture that cultivates the talents of every individual.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, Business Management, or related area. Masters Degree in any of the above areas preferred.
  • Experience: Eight (8)+ years of experience in employee training, organizational development, and/or other related experience. At least five (5) years of management experience, including building and leading a team through change.
  • Certifications: Industry-specific certification preferred, such as teacher certification, Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTP), or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD).
  • Skills: Proven ability to affect organizational change, build learning programs from the ground up, and gain support for learning initiatives from management and executives. Strong member advocacy and service/hospitality background. Demonstrated ability to develop, drive and contribute to overall strategy and business plans in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and measuring learning solutions that are based on adult learning theory and methodologies. Ability to interpret financial data and policies and apply to training initiatives. Forward thinker who embraces change with excitement and drive and views their role from a strategic perspective. Magnetic, enthusiastic leader, coach, and motivator who is dynamic and passionate about their work. Strong planning and project management skills. Excellent training and presentation delivery skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, auditory) and interpersonal skills, including coaching, mentoring, and giving feedback. Regularly attends external training and stays current on latest Talent Development industry trends.
