Base Salary: Between $150k and $200k depending on experience
Bonus/Commission: 20% performance-based

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team. This role is crucial for driving our growth in the SaaS and hardware sectors, focusing on building a high-performing team and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership, particularly in SaaS, hardware, and e-commerce environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a team of Account Executives (AEs), Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), and Customer Success Managers.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company growth targets for SaaS and hardware sales.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities, focusing on large commercial grows and multi-state operators (MSOs).
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target accounts.
  • SaaS Growth: Drive the growth of our SaaS platform, ensuring high customer retention and renewal rates.
  • E-commerce: Oversee e-commerce sales, optimizing the online sales process and customer experience.
  • Performance Management: Set and track team performance metrics, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Insights: Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and a
  • competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in at least one of the following industries: Agriculture, Horticulture, Cannabis, CBD, or Hemp. 
  • Experience selling directly to cannabis cultivators is preferred. 
  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in SaaS, hardware, and e-commerce sales is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cannabis cultivation processes and challenges is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
