Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid Schedule (2 days in office - 3 days remote)

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week with flexible schedules from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm EST

Locations: New Providence, NJ; Nashville, TN; King of Prussia, PA; Concord, NC


Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient care services and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. The PCC processes inbound orders from our referral sources and requests for assistance from our patients through a variety of mediums, including inbound and outbound calls, faxes, and e-mails. The successful candidate must become proficient in the use of our enterprise system to enable the accurate processing of new patient orders and re-orders for existing patients.


Requirements:
  • Experience with insurance payers is preferred
  • Experience with patient admissions in a similar referral source-based practice setting and customer service in an inbound/outbound customer service center is strongly preferred
  • Customer service experience in a Home Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in a healthcare services business is preferred
  • Previous experience working with enteral therapy patients or pediatric enteral nutrition formulas is highly desirable


Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Onboarding new patients by hospital discharge or company transition
  • Providing resupply orders to patients on service
  • Receiving and reviewing patient records to ensure medical necessity is met for services ordered by physicians
  • Performing insurance and benefit verification; obtaining prior authorizations
  • Other additional job duties

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of 20 pounds but no more than 50 pounds.
