- Facilitate the processing of orders, including intake, verification of benefits, documentation imaging, and client relations.
- Gather, evaluate, and organize all essential paperwork for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) pre-authorization, billing, and patient co-payments.
- Engage with sales representatives, healthcare professionals, office staff, and patients to collect necessary documentation.
- Oversee orders to guarantee precise and prompt delivery for billing purposes.
- Negotiate payment plans for equipment and supplies with patients utilizing effective sales strategies in a non-direct selling approach.
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures related to Corporate Compliance and HIPAA Programs, ensuring compliance with Medicare, CHAP, and other regulatory standards.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing DME orders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of various payer systems, including private/commercial, self-insured employers, workers' compensation, and Medicare/government programs.
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Supplier Standards, ICD-9 (ICD-10) Coding, DMEPOS Coding protocols, and electronic billing requirements.
- Proven ability to work with accuracy, attention to detail, and thorough documentation.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities in a dynamic, high-volume work environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
