Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.

Objective: The Accounts Receivable Specialist performs receivable functions in an exemplary manner according to the company quality policies.

Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years of previous experience performing accounts receivable functions
  • Experience interacting both professionally and positively with internal and external customers

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze various financial statements (Income, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and understand how each statement ties to the others
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Relationship Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail

Essential Functions:

Accounts Receivable:


  • Obtain the information necessary from customer websites, wire transfer, and email to process cash receipts. Apply funds received to the appropriate invoice via QAD. File checks and invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between funds received and funds due.
  • Contact customers with outstanding invoice information, sending weekly statements if necessary, and use data to determine the appropriate strategy to resolve past due accounts.
  • Work with Account Managers and the Directors of Sales to create and implement appropriate plans of action for customers with outstanding receivable issues.
  • Work with Customer Service Representatives, Account Mangers, the Quality Director, and the Vice President of Supply Chain Management to investigate price discrepancies and obtain the data necessary to issue credit memos for such issues as: scrap, pricing, returned materials, administration fees, incorrect part counts, and incorrect invoices.
  • Obtain the necessary information from the APQP Project Managers to create and send invoices for items such as tooling.
  • Apply payments for the Pridgeon & Clay Mexico plant.



Teamwork/Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in lean initiatives. Use knowledge of computer systems and report writer functions to increase the overall quality, efficiency, and resources of the receivables and financial statement processes.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Perform various duties as directed by the Director. Accept instructions and duties in a positive manner.
  • Continue to increase necessary technical knowledge.
  • Perform special projects as needed with the Accounting Department staff.
  • Work necessary overtime, as needed, to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks.

  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
