Summary Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and/or entries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts or documenting business transactions. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret financial information for the organization. Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits. Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules. Completes monthly accounting reports due to outside agencies. Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Coordinates with Controller on the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Completes bank reconciliations. Monitors vendor statements. Assists with preparation of annual audit workpapers.

Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
