The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for delivering sales for the company. This will be done through generating new sales opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires frequent local travel to meet clients, conduct sales presentations, and attend industry events. The ideal candidate will have experience in the granite and countertop industry, excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to sales, and the ability to work independently. The Representative must have proven experience in outside sales in the industry. The Outside Sales Representative should come with current connections and a book of business.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: prospect new clients, identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Sales Presentations: conduct in-person sales presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of products/services.
  • Negotiation: negotiate contracts and terms of sale to close deals effectively.
  • Follow-Up: maintain regular follow-up with potential clients to keep the sales process moving forward.
  • Relationship Management: regularly visit clients to build and strengthen relationships, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
  • Customer Service: provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Account Management: manage existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Territory Management: develop and execute a strategic plan for the assigned sales territory to maximize revenue.
  • Market Analysis: analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Reporting and Documentation: prepare and submit regular sales reports, including forecasts, activity logs, and performance metrics.
  • CRM Management: maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities in the company's CRM system.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role, preferably in the granite, countertop, tile, or the cabinet industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and close sales.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
