Job Title: Senior Account Executive
Reports To: Group Account Director
OVERVIEW
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day protection and advancement of client relationships while growing their businesses. This role oversees the execution of client communications plans/campaigns/projects, to ensure effective, on time, and on budget implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
- Supports account leadership in managing overall client relationship.
- Collaborates with account leadership in client strategic planning process and forecasting.
- Assists in preparing client proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and PR plans.
- Has a firm understanding of all agency functional offerings and our integrated ways of working.
- Is the subject matter expert on assigned client brands to continue to advance understanding across all teams.
- Leads/facilitates/participates in all client meetings (external and internal) with support of account leadership.
- Regularly informs account team regarding client progress, involves account supervisor immediately in the event of potential issues/problems.
- Checks and approves agency deliverables, prior to client review, to ensure it is on brief, meets requirements and ladders up to the overall strategy.
- Coordinates and oversees client’s reviews and approvals.
- Supports billing and invoice review process, prior to release to clients.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in ag and/or food business, marketing, journalism, communications and or related
- 5 – 8 years of experience managing client accounts in public relations, advertising, marketing and communications
- Agriculture/crop protection/crop nutrients experience preferred
- Proven track record of managing agency and client relationships
