Lead Product Manager

The Product Manager will work throughout the product development process, both inclusive of evaluation and execution. The Product Manager is responsible for the business case and ROI/evaluation, design, development, launch, and optimization for one or several products and market opportunities.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

• Owns and Executes on a suite of Products while collaborating with executive leadership

• Manages/Mentors a team of product owners and business analysts to achieve the product KPIs

• Coordinates with technical leadership, marketing, sales, and other teams to develop the product roadmap

• Translates product vision and roadmap from Product Director into capabilities of work for PO and technical teams

• Advocate for the product though defined customer needs, marketplace trends, or client needs

• Identifies customer problems, target market, and performs primary or secondary research as needed to back customer problems

• Manages the product from end to end and is the subject matter expert including reporting and performance of product, may need to present performance of product to client

• Quantifies customer problem through work with analytics team

• Owns the product portfolio backlog and prioritization of sets of features to hand off to Product Owner (PO)

• Collaborate with the PO to design and develop the product

• Collaborate with Product Director to design the end-to-end experience for internal and external stakeholders during evaluation

• Clearly communicates priority and business value to the PO

• Work cross-functionally to help determine pricing, distribution, marketing of product

• Seen as conductor of the product for which is managed

• Supports EPIC development, feature development, user stories as needed or directed by PO

• Works closely with the PO to provide oversight of engineering and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved

• Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise

• Has healthcare experience / business experience

• Works with the PO to track progress towards the release of a product and leads product go-to-market

• Works with a cross functional team in planning a product release

• May be responsible for managing one or several product team members, (e.g. Product Manager, Product Owners, etc)

• All other duties as assigned


Required Skills / Experience:

• Bachelors in Business Administration or similar field

• Experience communicating / reporting directly to the C-Suite leadership level

• Experience communicating/reporting directly to C-Suite leadership

• Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare; preferred Stop Loss experience and PBM space

• Experience leading a team and growing A+ talent

• Curious, creative, and strategic thinker

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated success in releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives

• Excellent detailed written and verbal communications skills

• Demonstrate ability to become a subject matter expert in their aligned product or market and how to develop solutions for this market.

• Excellent teamwork skills

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

• Established organizational and time management skills

• Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies and ways of working

• Preference for RPh, MBA, MPH or similar advanced degree

• Preference for Certified Product Manager (CPM) or similar certification

• Preference for Lean/Six Sigma certifications (e.g. Greenbelt or Blackbelt)
