What Does a Facilities Maintenance Team Member Do?

  • Maintain the physical appearance of the store and yard
  • Perform general labor tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and dusting
  • Restock supplies as needed
  • Provide preventative maintenance: changing filters, UV lamps, batteries, and upgrades to equipment
  • Make and repair screens
  • Cutting glass and assembling products
  • Clean and upkeep sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, etc.
  • Attempt to repair items when possible, and report items that require servicing from external contractors or on-site mechanics to management
  • Perform all heavy-duty cleaning as assigned
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment parts
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure an adequate supply of necessary materials
  • Ensure that all facilities and equipment adhere to safety standards and regulations with guidance from mechanic(s) and management
  • Assist in yard operations to meet business needs
  • Additional duties as assigned


What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Facilities Maintenance Team Member?

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience highly preferred
  • Ability to lift up to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance, handle large odd-shaped items, and stock items in overhead areas
  • Requires frequent standing and walking
  • Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment, adapting to varying temperatures and weather conditions
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills

Ideal candidates should be able to work the below hours and have flexibility to occassionally work a varied schedule. Candidates with limited availability will be considered, but please inform the hiring manager regarding your availiability during the initial interview process.

Mon & Weds: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Part-time employees hours can vary based on business needs. Typically will average between 20-25 hours a week.
