POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational integrity of the establishment, focusing on essential mechanical systems, fire safety equipment, and various infrastructural components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate motivation and resourcefulness to achieve set objectives.
  • Influence quality guest service and contribute to profitability.
  • Adhere to departmental standards and guidelines to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in managing utility costs through effective operational practices.
  • Implement maintenance programs and maintain necessary service records.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Oversee the exterior maintenance of the building, including snow removal and landscaping.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and operations of all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and Hazcom standards, including adherence to MSDS procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the Chief Engineer regarding work performed.
  • Respond to communications regarding concerns and take appropriate actions.
  • Work efficiently to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in all required meetings to share and gather relevant information.
  • Assess the condition of furniture and fixtures, making repairs as necessary.
  • Operate all equipment safely, following manufacturer guidelines and facility procedures.
  • Exhibit a gracious and professional demeanor that reflects positively on the company.
  • Participate in the property Safety Committee as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must possess the ability to:

  • Accurately perform calculations and mathematical functions relevant to business needs.
  • Identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret various technical and mathematical formulas.
  • Follow diverse instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Be flexible to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing various physical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering or facility operations.

A combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training is preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, write reports, and effectively present information.

Proficiency in Excel and Word is preferred, along with attention to detail and confidentiality.


COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing duties in accordance with local laws.
  • Ensuring minors are not allowed in restricted areas.
