Application and Platform Operations Manager

******This is a remote role, however there will be meetings in the Sacramento area several times a year. Candidates must work between business hours in the pacific time zone. Ideally, the candidates will be based on in the West Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
-Solid technical understanding of what tools and applications are used for and the ability to suggest replacements and consolidations that will result in better usage and cost optimization
-Review licenses, tools and usage across the business units and use data and metrics to recommend best practices
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the stability and reliability of applications and platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational issues and enhance tools and application performance
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize operational processes
-Manage and report on application, cloud and SaaS cost and usage
-Drive operation excellent on planform and applications
-Set up and maintain regular KPI’s, MTTR’s, SLO’s, and error rates for all applications
-The ability to build and lead operations for Site Reliability Engineers
-Operational focus on continuous improvement
-Leadership abilities to bridge the teamwork between IT and DevOps
-Manage tools and technology procurements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or an additional 4+ years of experience in IT or development
- Proven experience in managing the operations of complex applications and platforms
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and system monitoring tools
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
-Ability to translate technical concepts to business partners and their value
