ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Lead Manager for our Cloud Strategy and Operations to enhance our global software engineering initiatives on leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Ali Cloud. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of cloud computing environments along with exceptional communication and relationship management skills. This role requires expertise in Agile methodologies, Cloud Governance, Learning Development, and Self-Service capabilities to empower application teams in utilizing cloud services provided by our Infrastructure and Cloud Delivery (ICD) team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and facilitate cloud-centric training programs across all Global Technology teams, including self-paced and instructor-led sessions.
  • Transform traditional service models into self-service frameworks to accelerate application development.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to ensure project completion and task management.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience leading technical teams across various engineering disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience with major cloud service providers, particularly AWS.
  • 2+ years of experience managing Agile delivery teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile transformation initiatives.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Graduate degree in a technical field.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects while balancing immediate and long-term objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills with a blend of qualitative and quantitative approaches to measure success.
  • Expertise in Cloud governance frameworks and practices.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools and containerization technologies.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Cloud Operations Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategies for managing cloud infrastructure demand across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current and future resource needs.
  • Monitor demand trends and forecast future requirements to support strategic planning.
  • Design and execute comprehensive training programs focused on cloud technologies.
  • Support teams new to cloud technology with best practices and architectural guidelines.

Project Management & Execution:

  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between application engineering teams and ICD Product Owners to enhance development timelines.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices in engineering development and delivery methods.
