Job Description:
As a Corporate Treasury Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial activities related to liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and risk management within our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal cash balances, managing relationships with financial institutions, and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Cash Management and Forecasting:
- Monitor daily cash balances and manage cash flow projections to ensure liquidity needs are met.
- Develop short-term and long-term cash forecasts based on business operations and financial obligations.
- Optimize cash utilization across the organization to minimize idle cash and maximize returns.
Banking Relationships and Financial Operations:
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners to negotiate favorable terms and services.
- Oversee banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and wire transfers.
- Implement and maintain banking systems and technologies to streamline cash management processes.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks related to interest rates, foreign exchange, and liquidity.
- Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate risks and protect against market fluctuations.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and risk management guidelines.
Investment Management:
- Evaluate investment opportunities for surplus cash and short-term investments.
- Conduct analysis and recommend investment strategies based on risk tolerance and liquidity requirements.
- Monitor investment performance and ensure adherence to investment policies and objectives.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and analyze treasury-related financial reports, including cash flow statements, liquidity reports, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (e.g., FASB, IFRS).
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during audits and examinations.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree and/or CTP certification preferred).
- Proven experience as a Treasury Manager, Corporate Finance Manager, or similar role in treasury operations.
- Strong knowledge of cash management principles, financial instruments, and banking operations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and cash flow modeling.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
