Location:

Hybrid position, mandatory minimum of 2 days per week in our Washington, D.C. office

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Discovery & Scoping: Work hand-in-hand with your account executive counterparts to understand a customer’s current systems, staff workflows, and programmatic pain-points; use these to confidently identify the OPEXUS products and services that will best streamline their processes.
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging, value-focused demonstrations that account for a customer’s unique requirements and underscore how OPEXUS’ products vary from others in the respective market.
  • Technical Feedback Facilitation: Repeatedly intake product feedback from customer meetings and requirements contained within government solicitations; consolidate functionality requests and/or market trends for action by the Product Management team.
  • Sales Enablement: Leverage in-depth knowledge in your respective OPEXUS product(s) to repeatedly upskill OPEXUS account executives in enhanced messaging; our Solutions Engineers do this most ahead of substantive, quarterly product releases.
  • Technical Writing: Tactfully differentiate OPEXUS’ products and services when responding to government-issued RFI/P/Qs; create (reusable) answers on product functionality and user support practices that highlight the impact we’ve driven at similar agencies.
  • Intentional Customer Hand-offs: Ensure that the vision painted for a customer throughout the sales process can be properly actioned by the implementation team; we make this possible through thorough requirement gathering and information sharing between our GTM and delivery teams.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Process Improvement: Collaborate with other sales support functions -- Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and Proposals -- to identify ways that
  • the GTM team can work more efficiently while bringing in more business; this can include the use of new tools, collateral, or technology.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales or solution delivery role (such as customer engineering or technical implementation)
  • A knack for leading value-based product demonstrations for a variety of customer/partner stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to drive product innovation – continuously making the customer’s voice heard
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make complex topics digestible for non-technical audiences
  • Experience navigating product integration conversations to streamline workflows for users leveraging multiple applications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deals/projects at one time, driving toward excellence for each


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal and state procurement processes, including responding to Requests for Quotations/Proposals
  • Experience contributing to internal product enablement efforts
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and best practices, specifically release management, complex implementations, user support, and system security
