JOB TYPE: Part-timeJOB SUMMARY:The Bevin Center Communications Student Associate manages communications for the Bevin Center and reports to the Director of the Bevin Center for Mission Mobilization.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The following responsibilities and tasks are essential to the job:Designs and implements a social media strategy for the Bevin CenterDevelops and ensures timely communication through Towers and Chapel announcements.Maintains the Bevin Center webpages.Collects, assesses, and reports on the Center's mobilization impact on the Boyce-Southern community.Assist in event planning with the rest of the Bevin Center team.Brainstorm and contact missionaries for potential Bevin Center trips.Be a team player.Lead evangelism outings when the Missions Coordinator is unavailable to do so.Make sure the Bevin Center hallway television is updated at all times.Assist in weekly set-up and tear-down of International Coffee Hour.Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Bevin Center.Social MediaDevelop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the Bevin Center's goals and objectives.Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.Regularly post on all platforms, advertising events and things the Bevin Center is doing.Regularly monitor social media channels and respond to messages, comments, and mentions in a timely and helpful manner.Grow the organization's social media following and engagement by collaborating with other departments and analyzing social media analytics.Collaborate closely with the Communications Office to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all channels.When appropriate, use Canva to make posts and Reels.Towers/Chapel AnnouncementsEnsure that Towers announcements are submitted on time.Ensure that Chapel announcements are submitted on time.NewsletterContent Creation: Using Mailchimp, create original and engaging content for the newsletter that advertises the upcoming events and trips for the Bevin Center.Editing and Proofreading: Thoroughly edit and proofread the content before publishing to ensure that it is well-written, grammatically correct, and error-free.Timeliness: Ensure that the newsletter is published on time each month to maintain consistency and keep subscribers engaged.REQUISITE JOB SKILLS:The successful applicant will show evidence of the following skills:Ability to work as a team; follow in grace, lead when appropriate.Self-starter.Excellent written communication skills.Experience with creating web content.Experience in Social Media platform use and strategies, especially Hootsuite, Twitter, and Instagram.Graphic Design skills are helpful but not required.EDUCATION:The person in this position should be a Boyce or Seminary student.EXPERIENCE:The person in this position should have some missions experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
