Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting to execution and ongoing management

  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers specializing in AI infrastructure and data center technologies
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to high-performance computing facilities and AI data handling
  • Develop and implement contract risk management strategies specific to AI data center projects
  • Provide expert advice on contract terms, conditions, and potential risks to project stakeholders
  • Resolve contract disputes and negotiate amendments as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in contract management, with a focus on data center construction for AI-related workloads
  • Strong understanding of legal and commercial aspects of data center construction and operation contracts
  • Familiarity with AI hardware requirements and their implications for data center contracts (e.g., specialized cooling, power distribution, and networking needs)
  • Experience in negotiating complex service level agreements (SLAs) for high-performance computing environments
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations affecting AI data centers (e.g., data protection laws, energy efficiency standards)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex contract terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools

Preferred:

  • Education: MBA or relevant degree
  • Experience working with major AI data center companies or tech companies on their data center projects
  • Understanding of emerging trends in AI and their potential impact on data center contracts
  • Familiarity with international contract law, particularly for global data center projects
