About the Role
The Contract Manager will play a crucial role in supporting SBT’s Legal team by managing all aspects of the company’s contracting process. This role requires a detail-oriented, highly organized individual with strong writing, organization, negotiation, and communication skills. The Contract Manager will assist in the preparation, review, negotiation, and management of all legal instruments necessary to support the organization. The Contract Manager will report to SBT’s General Counsel.
Position Objectives
In this role, you will:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of legal instruments, including NDAs, sales, data security, partnership, and vendor contracts.
- Create, develop, and maintain a comprehensive contract management system.
- Monitor contract compliance and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate contract creation, execution, and management.
Legal Support:
- Assist in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
- Support the General Counsel in managing legal risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate governance documents, internal policies and procedures, and customer notifications.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records and files of all legal and contract documents.
- Coordinate meetings, calls, and appointments.
- Handle administrative tasks on behalf of the Legal team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial contract management/related role or a commensurate combination of education/experience.
- Strong understanding of relevant contractual concepts and terminology.
- Experience supporting an enterprise sales team and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to teamwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, Salesforce, and experience with contract management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working at a technology company, preferably with a focus on software or telecommunications sales.
- Experience supporting an enterprise sales team.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution, Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM), or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) credentials.
- Experience implementing and overseeing the use of contract management software and providing relevant training.
- Familiarity with data privacy and/or wireless carrier compliance.
- Experience responding to customer due diligence and information security requests.
