POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, and assists the Pathology Services department with the daily operations and activities of the pathology Department. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting clients that maintain legal business agreements with Pathology Services. Supports supplies needed for lab draws, working with Transportation Services to arrange lab courier (if needed) and coordinating with clinical and financial departments to implement appropriate charge for services rendered. Must be able to resolve charges and coding related issues within pathology services. Resolves lab testing orders and related issues for Pathology Services. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and promotes customer satisfaction. Performs other related duties as may be assigned or requested.
EDUCATION
A high school diploma is required. An Associate’s degree in a business-related field is preferred. Two years’ experience in a business/financial environment is required. Financial experience in a health care environment is preferred.
