Logistics Analyst


This is a hybrid position, based in either Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA



12-Month Contract



Description of Project Services:


This individual will support our client's Technology Sourcing and Infrastructure (TSI) Team and is expected to act as an accountable resource for in-scope projects by supporting stakeholders and ensuring efficient global processes are followed. This individual will assist with cross-regional tasks as well as operating in new areas within their portfolio as required. This individual is expected to interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet yearly procurement roadmaps, drive improvements and align on timelines for successful execution.



Key duties include:


  • Assist in cross-regional projects/tasks or operating in new areas within their region as required within the TSI logistics portfolio
  • Adding value to projects globally with limited leadership oversight by identifying data errors, engaging the right resources, and suggesting solutions.
  • Delivering cross-functional execution and closure to Projects in order to meet yearly TSI Logistics roadmaps and driving improvements to force progress or complete initiatives
  • Understanding tasks assigned (logistics/analytics/invoice analyses), anticipating risks, performing risk mitigation when possible, and escalating to Amazon Personnel to support and follow-up on risk mitigation activities
  • Effectively communicating with non-tech customers and delivering a solution that is in-line at both the individual level and service level with the assigned task lists and Project scope
  • Identifying errors of data, engaging the correct resources, and suggesting solutions in line with the assigned task list and scope
  • Working directly with external vendors or service providers, customers, and partner teams, in line with the assigned task list and Project scope
  • Demonstrating an ability to contribute globally to improvement works and programs with limited steering from leadership in line with the assigned task list and Project scope
  • Acting as a single accountable leader for in scope Projects, supporting stakeholders to identify and close process gaps, and ensuring efficient global processes are followed in line with the assigned task list and Project scope
  • Assessing costs, benefits, and risks, and identifying and responding to risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively through effective action and appropriate escalation to Amazon Personnel where needed
  • Collaborating with both internal and applicable third-party engineering teams to develop network infrastructure solutions supported by internal Personnel that is in line with the assigned task list and Project scope
  • Developing gap analysis, functional specifications and milestones in line with the assigned task list and Project scope
  • Identifying and documenting lessons learned for each Project/task
  • Proactively communicating with internal delivery stakeholders to align and agree on the delivery timeline to allow for the successful execution
  • Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously by providing effective reporting and adherence to the Project's dates and metrics


Required Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, international business or a related field (master's degree may be preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of supply chain management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced Excel, SQL (or other relevant database querying language)
  • 5+ year of experience with reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal.
  • Proven experience with creating metrics and presenting data effectively.
  • Strong data analysis skills: the ability to extract and synthesize data to make data-backed business decisions.
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
