Summary

We're seeking a charismatic and engaging Regional Sales Manager for our Engineered Solutions division. In this role, you'll drive the expansion of profitable sales for our Power System products, including Gensets, switchgear, automatic transfer switches, and electronic packaging solutions. Your primary focus will be on engaging with EPC firms, consulting engineers, and other key decision-makers to secure contracts and increase market share. You'll take ownership of market and account planning initiatives, collaborating both with and without distributors. Success in this position hinges on your ability to navigate the complexities of target accounts and projects, taking full accountability for outcomes. 40-50% overnight travel. Option for Company Car or Vehicle Allowance.


Location

This is a remote role however candidates need to live in the Houston, TX area and be willing to travel to multiple states within the Western Region.

Responsibilities

  • The majority of the job is Pre-Sales and getting potential customers comfortable with the brand, assisting with design, and convincing them that this is the best solution.
  • Once it turns into an Order, it’s turned over to Distribution however, you will still oversee everything to make sure it’s being done.
  • You may be working 30-40 projects at a time with about 10+ Key Accounts.
  • The job is a combination of Farming and Hunting (looking for other end users who are buying generators).
  • You will have the support of Account Managers to manage the day-to-day business of what Distribution is doing.
  • Project Management to ensure it’s being built and shipped on time.
  • The Channel Team to oversee compliance with Distributors and are trained to sell the product.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • BS Degree in Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of Outside Sales experience with at least 3 years of experience of Power Gen Technical Sales to large commercial and industrial verticals.
  • Strong communication and people skills with the ability to influence buying decisions and have technical design conversations with Engineers.
  • Must have a track record of success in Business Development as well as Key Account Management.
