Fresh off a successful Series A funding round, we are poised for the next phase of expansion, and we’re looking for a dynamic Human Resource Director to lead their people operations.

Key Relationships: The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and will partner with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer on important Human Resources matters.


Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resource Director to join our leadership team. This role is critical in building strong relationships with employees while balancing the strategic needs of the company. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can work closely with the executive team and board, yet is also willing to roll up their sleeves and engage in the day-to-day HR tasks. Assist the company to relocate the majority of its operations from Park City to the Salt Lake City area in 2025, as well as help the team evolve its HR practices as the company grows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Partner with the executive team and board to align HR strategies with the company’s goals. Provide strategic leadership in all HR matters, ensuring that our people operations support our growth objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.
  • Scalability & Growth: Lead the HR function through our next phase of growth. Develop and implement scalable HR processes and systems to support the expanding team.
  • Hands-On HR Management: Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development. Be ready to dive into the details and address issues as they arise.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Implement best practices in HR management to maintain a fair, equitable, and engaging workplace.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in various HR roles, often ranging from 7-10 years, with a proven track record of progressively responsible positions in human resource management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Certifications in PHR, SPHR or equivalent are highly Valued.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with executive teams and boards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building strong relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment, ideally within a startup or rapidly scaling company OR someone with experience in more established companies who would like to apply their knowledge and skills to a high growth company.
  • Experience with working in light technology manufacturing is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
